His Brilliance Spans The Globe


The Chicago Jazz Orchestra has appeared at The Kennedy Center Honors for thirteen consecutive years, and has performed with such jazz all-stars as Louis Bellson, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Doc Severinsen, Diane Schuur, Clark Terry, Joe Williams, Nancy Wilson, Stevie Wonder, and Quincy Jones.

In addition, the ensemble's international tours have taken it to Italy, Spain, Denmark, and Sweden.

Danny is a member of the Chicago Jazz Orchestra.


Formed in 1917, the  Grimethorpe Colliery (UK Coal) Band  provided the soundtrack music, and extras for the on-screen band, in the movie "Brassed Off!".  Since the release of the film, the band has performed extensively throughout Europe, including a film festival in Norway, The World Cup in Paris and the Eurovision Song Contest to an estimated television audience of 50 million viewers.

The band has also become the first ever brass band to become an ensemble-in-residence at the Royal College of Music in London.

Other recent tours of the band have included Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the United States of America.

Danny recently performed as a featured artist with this band in Carnegie Hall.


The Brass Band of Battle Creek is a World Class organization of English Heritage, comprised of some of the world's finest brass and percussion instrumentalists.

Danny is a member of this Band.


Avalon Brass Band and Percussion Camp is a summer Brass Band Camp in Battle Creek, Michigan, featuring group and individual instruction for students 15~25 years old.

Camp Avalon is an ongoing demonstration of the Brass Band of Battle Creek's commitment to education, and all faculty at Avalon are active members of the band.


Founded in 1816, the  Black Dyke Band  made an historic appearance as the first British Brass Band to perform in Carnegie Hall, in 1993. They have subsequently appeared as guests of the LSO Brass ensemble at the Barbican, performed composer masterclass sessions for The Society of Promotion for New Music and have appeared before Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Band is also proud to have been appointed the first ever "Band in Residence" at the Royal Northern College of Music.

At the National Championship contest in October 2001 Black Dyke Band became National Champions for the seventeenth time since 1947. The band logo of the stags head and Latin quotation are taken from the armorial bearings granted in 1857 to John Foster, founder of the band. The quotation translates to; "ACT JUSTLY AND FEAR NOTHING".

Danny performed as a featured artist with this band at the 2002 International Trumpet Guild Conference in Manchester, England.


Margaret Carlson is an exciting new voice in contemporary music today. Crediting such artists as Cleo Laine, Judy Garland, Duke Ellington and Chick Corea as major influences, Carlson has developed a free-spirited style all her own.
